In 1996, Terry Labonte had one of the greatest seasons in his NASCAR Hall of Fame career while driving the flagship No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. Fast forward to 2024, the 40th anniversary season for the Hendrick organization, and Kyle Larson will be honoring Labonte’s 1996 championship with a special throwback paint scheme at Darlington Raceway.

Larson is now behind the wheel of the heralded No. 5 and is continuing the championship tradition that Labonte started in 1996.
