Jeff Burton, driver of the Richard Childress #31 AT&T Chevrolet, started racing Karts at age 7. In 1984, after two State Championships, Jeff moved to stock cars. By 1988, he was South Boston's Most Popular Driver and had 21 wins in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. Jeff began racing full-time in the Cup Series in 1994 and finished that year with Rookie of the Year honors. As of the start of the 2008 season, Jeff Burton has recorded 6 poles, 19 wins, and 5 top 5 finishes in the final Cup point standings.
